Whistler Singers

A non-auditioned community choir, the Whistler Singers have sung for our community since the early 1980s. To join the choir, all you need is the desire to sing with others.  Anyone aged 13 to 113 years is welcome to join us.  The choir presents a minimum of two concerts a year, as well as joining the Whistler Children’s Chorus for the Municipal Remembrance Day Ceremony, and the Christmas Eve Service of Lessons & Carols. The choir is often asked to sing our national anthem for public and private functions.

Repertoire is varied, with a focus on music that is fun to sing, from early madrigals to modern-day show tunes. The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at Myrtle Philip Community School.

Interested singers are welcome to come and try choir out in September before making a commitment. Membership fees are kept minimal and are put toward rehearsal and performance space costs. New members are always very welcome. For more information, email whistlersingers@gmail.com.
