It’s time to warm up your vocal cords and get ready to sing, sing, sing. The Whistler Children’s Chorus is turning 20 years old this year and we have lots to sing about! To celebrate this milestone, we will be appearing throughout the year at different venues in Whistler to commit random acts of singing. Also in the plans is our 20th year Reunion Concert on May 11th, 2013 with special guest conductor (and founder of the Whistler Children’s Chorus), Molly Boyd. Of course, there’s our usual concert schedule which includes Remembrance Day, Christmas Eve and caroling. First up is International Peace Day – Friday, September 21st (7 pm) at the Olympic Plaza. We’ll be singing three songs this year with only 2 rehearsals (wow!) so it’s time to get singing.
Chorus rehearsals (for high school) begin this Thursday – September 6th at the usual time (3:30 – 5:30 pm) at the usual place (Music Room at WSS). We look forward to seeing you there. Junior and Intermediate rehearsals begin one week from tomorrow – Tuesday, September 11th. Junior Choir is 3 – 4 pm while Intermediate Choir is 4 – 5 pm. Both rehearsals take place in the Music Room at Spring Creek. Many thanks to those who have already registered – either by mail or online. We have lots of music to sing and enjoy – new songs as well as familiar favourites.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
